Christchurch Adventure Park Zipline medical and safety information
Your safety and security as you zip your way around the Christchurch Adventure Park is our number one priority. Our guides are highly trained in all aspects of ziplining and are there to ensure your safety and wellbeing while you have the time of your life.
We are accredited and audited by New Zealand’s AdventureMark safety accreditation system, and we continually internally assess our procedures to ensure they’re carried out to national and international industry standards.
Medical
To zipline, we don’t have an age restriction, but you’ll need to be more than 122cm tall (4 feet) and weigh between 27 kilograms (60 pounds) and 125 kilograms (276 pounds). Children under 13 years of age need to be accompanied by an adult.
It’s a good idea to make sure you’re well rested, hydrated and have recently eaten before you set off on your Zip adventure.
Unfortunately, we can’t permit pregnant zipliners, or people who have a heart condition, epilepsy or previous neck or back injuries.
To complete your 4 Zip adventure, at times you’ll need to walk on uneven and moderately steep ground unassisted. Therefore, you must have effective use of both your arms and legs – no broken bones, fractures or recent dislocations.
Equipment
We only use the best technologies and zipline equipment designed by experienced experts to the highest standards. All our zipline harnesses and trolley equipment are carefully checked and rechecked after every use for quality assurance and to make sure all equipment is totally fit for use.
Your enjoyable safety is of paramount importance to us and we don’t take that responsibility lightly.
